Heatwave conditions have been predicted in some parts over Gangetic West Bengal and in isolated pockets over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam

A trough runs from south Madhya Maharashtra to Tamil Nadu in lower tropospheric levels. Hence light isolated rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds is very likely over parts of Maharashtra. Farmers are advised to undertake the harvesting of sapota, citrus, grapes, watermelon and muskmelon as early as possible and store the harvested produce at safer place. Heatwave conditions are very likely in isolated/some pockets over Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar. The prevailing dry weather and increasing temperature may increase the stress condition in both crop and livestock, so farmers are advised to maintain adequate moisture in fields, also can use straw as mulching material to reduce the soil temperature.

Heatwave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next two days. At present, paddy crops are matured, so the farmers are advised to harvest it at the earliest. Heavy rainfall at isolated places is possible over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Farmers of Jammu & Kashmir are advised to postpone the harvesting of matured mustard crop for coming 2-3 days and store the already harvested produce at safer place due to chances of rainfall.
