Light or moderate isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are on the cards over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during the next five days and gradual reduction thereafter. In Madhya Pradesh, Fasal Salah advises farmers to carry out interculture, fertilizer application and earthing followed by irrigation wherever the sugarcane crop is at knee height stage. Hailstorms are also possible at isolated places West Bengal and Sikkim on April 25, and over Odisha and Bihar on April 24. Fasal Salah advises farmers of West Bengal to postpone the planting of turmeric. If planting is completed then mulching should be done and maintain adequate drainage facilities in the field. Light scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during the next four days.

Light to moderate rains very likely to occur at isolated places of Telangana. Farmers are advised to harvest the matured Paddy and Vegetables. Transport the harvested produce to the safe places or cover with tarpaulins. In Gujarat weather may remain mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with a possibility no rainfall during next five days. Farmers are advised to carry out interculture and hand weeding operations to destroy the soil borne pathogen, insect pest and weeds by exposing them to hot sun light.
