Scattered showers along with thunderstorms are likely to occur over isolated places of Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on April 27 and over Uttarakhand from April 27 to May 1. Fasal Salah advises farmers to postpone harvesting of wheat, late sown pea, gram and lentil for the upcoming 5 days. Keep the already harvested wheat, pea, gram, lentil and mustard crops in safe place. Postpone plant protection measures in vegetables for 3-4 days. Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds may occur over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during the next five days. Fasal Salah predicts that summer moong/urad crop may get affected in these areas if the intensity of rain and hailstorm is strong. Farmers are advised to continue sowing of green gram. Carry out intercultural operations followed by irrigation in brinjal, chilli and guava. Isolated to scattered light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning may pelt Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada, and isolated light rains may occur over Gujarat state during the next five days. Fasal salah advises farmers to harvest the matured maize, onion, vegetables and fruits as early as possible and keep the harvested produce at safer places. Light to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds may occur over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during the next five days. Transport the harvested produce to safe places or cover with tarpaulins.

Light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds may affect East India during the next four days, with hailstorms forecast at isolated places over Odisha on April 27-28 and over Jharkhand on April 27. Farmers are advised to bring the harvested paddy to the threshing floor or to a safer place and avoid leaving the harvested paddy in the field. Heavy rains may lash isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from April 28-May 1. Fasal Salah advises farmers to complete the sowing of maize and planting of ginger after current spell of rain and undergo with weeding in green gram and black gram crops at 20-25 days after sowing. Before the ensuing rainy season, make proper drainage channels in in crop field to drain out the excess water.
