Heavy rain at isolated places of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from May 19-22. Light to moderate widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds might continue across Northeast India. farmers are advised to postpone the harvest. Dust storms could lash isolated pockets of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Odisha from May 22-23. Farmers are advised not to burn wheat straw but plough the same in the field as it will improve the fertility of soil. Light to moderate isolated rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are very likely over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on May 22-23.

Further, heatwave conditions may grip parts of south Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh from May 20-23. Due to humid air and high temperature, hot weather is very likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Konkan and Goa until May 23, and over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on May 19-20. A trough is extending from North Bihar to Central Chhattisgarh which will bring relief over Bihar for the next two days as there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rains. Fasal Salah advises farmers to harvest matured pods of early sown black gram/green gram.
