Strong south-westerly winds from Bay of Bengal to northeast India prevail, hence heavy rainfall at isolated places have been forecast over Assam and Meghalaya from May 22-26, and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from May 24-26. Fasal Salah farmers are advised to start nursery bed preparation for Sali rice cultivation. Light to moderate isolated rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are possible over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh over the next three days and over Madhya Pradesh from May 23-26. Farmers are advised to provide proper support to the vine vegetables and fertilizer should be given to the gourd crops. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with hail and lightning are likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand on May 24 and 25. Finally, heavy rainfall can be expected at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, while isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over rest parts of the region during the next five days. Light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall will likely prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from May 22-26, over Interior Karnataka on May 22 and 23, and over Kerala and Mahe during the next five days.
