A trough extending from West Vidarbha to South Tamil Nadu across Marathwada and interior Karnataka, along with wet westerly winds from the Arabian Sea, may bring light or moderate fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over Kerala and Lakshadweep. Fasal Salah advises farmers to detrash the sugar cane and go for double line propping with trash twist. Hailstorms may pelt isolated places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in coming 2 days. Farmers are advised to protect vegetable nursery. Also, crop should be thatched with grass and ploy sheets to protect from the rains and hailstorms Rajasthan may see light rainfall combined with high winds and hailstorms whereas Chhattisgarh, Odisha may see moderate showers in some areas while rest of the areas will be dry. In Rajasthan, Farmers are advised to postpone the irrigation and any kind of agro-chemical spray in the field crops, vegetables and fruit plants.
