During the next 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rain and dust storm is possible over Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Farmers are advised do not apply irrigation and any spray on the crops and postpone the sowing of cotton for upcoming 1-2 days. Due to a western disturbance over Punjab & Jammu region, light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and occasional gusty winds are very likely over the Western Himalayan region on June 2. Hailstorm is also very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand on coming 2 days. Due to possibility of thunderstorms and rain, Fasal Salah advises farmers of Haryana to withhold sowing of cotton, irrigation and spraying operations in the summer green gram crops and cucurbits. Heatwave conditions are expected to persist in isolated pockets of Bihar, West Bengal, and Sikkim from June 2-6. Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh may also experience similar conditions on June 2-3. Isolated light rain is possible over coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
