Cyclonic circulation in Bay of Bengal causing Very heavy rainfalls in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
The monsoon trough is running along the Himalayan foothills. • The cyclonic circulation is situated over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, which creates a low-pressure area in the North coast of Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha coast. • This situation may continue for next few days, and may slowly reach Madhya Pradesh in next 4-5 days. • Under the influence of this cyclonic circulation, heavy widespread rainfalls are likely over southern and eastern parts of India, for next several days. • Very heavy rainfalls are forecasted in some parts over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. Farmers are advised to to spray Fipronil 5 SC@2ml/l or Lamba cyhalothrin4.9CS @1.25 ml/litre of water to minimize infestation of top shoot borer in Sugarcane crops. • Infestation of leaf folder and Yellow Stem Borer may increase in Paddy, so apply Cartap hydrocloride 50 SP@ 400g/acre or Fipronil 5 SC @ 400ml/acre. • Fairly widespread rains and thunderstorms are expected over Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka. • Isolated rains with thunderstorms may pelt West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab. • Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible over Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, East Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and West Madhya Pradesh.
