Cyclonic circulation over central India – Heavy rains in Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh

A Cyclonic circulation is present in central India at parts of interior Odisha, and the adjoining regions in Chhattisgarh, resulting in heavy rainfalls in Madhya Pradesh, East Gujarat and Maharashtra. • This cyclonic circulation is likely to move towards central Madhya Pradesh by next two days. • Light to moderate rainfalls with thunderstorms are possible over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana on Sep 8. Farmers are suggested to, uproot and destroy leaf curl affected plants, to control white fly. spray 400 ml Sefina 50DC or 60 g Osheen 20SG or 200g Polo 50WP in 100 litres of water per acre in case of severity. • Light to moderately widespread rains are possible over Ghat regions of Tamilnadu, Kerala-Mahe for next 3 days. • South Interior Karnataka is forested with widespread rains for next 2-3 days, and Coastal Karnataka for next 2 days. • Fairly-lightly widespread rainfall forecast over regions like Marathwada, Konkan-Goa and Madhya Maharashtra for next possible 2-3 days, and Southeast Gujarat Region on next one day. Farmers are advised to Prop the canes with strong bamboos or by tying together the canes in clump to protect against high wind speed and rain. • The rainfall forecasted in Northeast India over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for 1-2 days. • Hot weather and high temperature up to 40°c or more is likely to be in Western Rajasthan.
