Heavy rains to hit Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand; Odisha in for extremely heavy rainfall

A low-pressure area has developed over the central region of North Bay of Bengal as a result of its effect. • Isolated extremely heavy downpours are expected over Odisha for next 2-3 days. • Light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and isolated heavy rains are expected over East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and West Madhya Pradesh for next 3-4 days. Farmers are advised to monitor their fields regularly.
