Heavy Rains Forecast over Bihar, Southwest Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra

An anti-cyclonic flow is developing over Northwest India, and dry weather over parts of Southwest Rajasthan are favouring the Monsoon Withdrawal from Western Rajasthan in 1-2 days. • A cyclonic circulation is present over Southeast UP and adjoining regions, due to which light-moderate to heavy rainfalls are expected over Eastern UP and Bihar regions. • Another two cyclonic circulations are present over Southern Gujarat and interior Odisha, with a trough running from Odisha to Telangana passing through Chhattisgarh. • Due to above systems, light-moderate widespread rains are possible over Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh for next 3-4 days. • Isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorm is expected in Bihar for next 1-2 days. • Paddy farmers in Bihar are advised to maintain proper drainage channels in the fields, and remove excess water as it flood the crop. • Similar weather conditions are anticipated over Southwest MP and Gujarat regions for next 4-5 days. • Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa regions are also forecast with light-moderate widespread heavy showers during next 3-4 days. • Coming to south India, light-moderate widespread isolated heavy showers are anticipated over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala for next 2-3 days. • Some regions of Telangana and Coastal AP may receive light-moderate widespread isolated showers during next 2-3 days.
