Heavy Rains to Lash Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Rayalaseema
A cyclonic circulation present over the Southeast Arabian Sea and neighbouring Lakshadweep region is likely to move towards west-northwest direction, with a possibility of turning into a low-pressure area around next one day. Simultaneously, a trough is extending from the Southeast Arabian Sea and the surrounding Lakshadweep region to the coastline region. Due to these systems, light to moderate widespread rainfall is predicted throughout South Peninsular India over the next 3-4 days, followed by a gradual reduction. Moderate-heavy showers are expected across Kerala-Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and South Interior Karnataka for next 3-4 days. Present weather conditions are favourable for the incidence of pink boll worm in cotton. To control, go for spraying of Profenophos @ 2ml/L or Thiodicarb 1.5g/L.
