Maize market report

The demand for maize in Sikar (Rajasthan) market is average but the price is increasing due to lack of arrivals. The quality of maize is said to be average. Currently the moisture content in maize is 14-15 percent. This year the crop is less as compared to last year. According to the report, there is a possibility of increase in prices due to less arrivals. Due to the end of the season in Ballari, 2-3 carts of maize are arriving in 10 days, the arrival here is decreasing day by day. This year, due to lack of rain, sowing has reduced by 50 percent and the farmers who sowed could get only 50 percent of the crop. Demand for maize is good in Ballari Mandi. Prices have been stable for the last 15-20 days. It is estimated that prices will increase due to reduced arrivals. This year in Odisha, maize crop has been produced in large quantity and of good quality with 10-13 percent moisture content. Demand is good in Odisha market. The arrival of maize has started from 1 month and will continue for the next 15-20 days. According to the report, prices are expected to rise further in Odisha. 2500 bags of maize arrived in Balasore market. New corn has only 12 percent moisture content. Arrivals are likely to increase after November. Due to increase in arrivals, the price in Balasore is expected to fall by Rs 50-60. Maize prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal due to reduced demand in Bundi Mandi. 20000 bags are arriving in the market every day. It has been 2 months since the arrival of new maize started and it is likely to continue till December. This year the arrival of maize has decreased by 30~40 percent as compared to last year due to which the arrival is decreasing. Demand is weak in Bundi Mandi. It is estimated that prices are likely to remain stable for the next 15-20 days. The arrival of maize in Vijaypura will continue for the next 15~20 days. 2000 bags of maize are arriving every day from the local area Vijaypura itself. This year the maize crop has decreased by 60 percent as compared to last year, due to which the arrival is also less. The arrival of new maize will continue for the next 15~20 days. Demand is good in the market. It is estimated that there is a possibility of increase in prices due to less arrivals. If seen according to all the mandis, the maize market is seen to be bullish at some places and stable at other places and if we see the reports according to all the mandis, then there is a possibility of further rise, due to which there is no reason to panic.
