A cyclonic circulation is positioned over northeast Assam and another over north Bangladesh, with some moisture from Bay of Bengal toward the northeastern states. Consequently, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next seven days, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning from April 2-3. Light to moderate rainfall/snowfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning is highly possible over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next 4 days. A trough extends from south Tamil Nadu to southeast Madhya Pradesh across interior Karnataka and Vidarbha in the lower tropospheric levels. As a result, isolated light rainfall is expected over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada during April 5-7, and over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, and Karnataka on April 6-7. Meanwhile, heatwave conditions are highly likely in isolated pockets over North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, East Madhya Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha and Jharkhand for next 4 days.
