In maize, the pressure of arrival of new maize has increased in the markets of Bihar during the current week, due to which its prices have come down to Rs 2110/2140 per quintal. Maize is being sold at Rs 2250 at the godown and is being traded at Rs 2350/2375 at the Haryana - Punjab reach. The maize crop that has arrived is very good, due to which there is a strong possibility of further decline in its prices to Rs 100 per quintal soon. The stock of old goods is still lying in Madhya Pradesh, but it does not seem to be depleted.
