The summer crop area has expanded to 64.47 lakh hectares (lh), marking an 8% increase from the previous year. Summer paddy has increased to 29.80 lha, while pulses areas have risen by 10% to 13.12 lh. Moong and urad sowing at 10.36 lh and 2.76 lh respectively. Oilseeds acreage stands at 9.65 lh. Maize area increased by 9%, reaching 6.33 lh.
