The South west Monsoon has made the landfall and it has been named as Remal and this system is initially likely to move north-northeastwards, subsequently northeastwards and gradually weaken further. Earlier there has been a prediction that this Cyclone will impact Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chattisgarh. But these states are not been impact as the landfall made is away from these areas. Due to the ongoing cyclonic circulation, moderate to heavy rainfall is possible over West Bengal, North Chattisgarh, Bihar and North Eastern States during next 3-4 days and the wind speed is likely to be 30-40 Kmph. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka for next 2-3 days. The Severe Cyclonic Storm Remal over Coastal Bangladesh and adjoining Coastal West Bengal moved nearly northwards, with a speed of 15 kmph during the past 6 hours, weakened into a Cyclonic Storm. Heatwave conditions are very likely over Rajasthan, in Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat for next 2-3 days and will gradually decrease therafter.
