Rice prices in the international market have strengthened
Rice prices in the international market have strengthened once again. There was a slowdown in the demand for all varieties of basmati sela rice over the past few days. However, with increasing stability in sea routes, market improvement prospects are rising. Iran, the largest importer of Indian sella rice, could drive further market growth if it continues its imports smoothly. Considering the availability of paddy and current prices in domestic markets, the likelihood of a downturn is minimal. Currently, the price of 1509 sela rice is around 6350/6400 rupees per quintal, which seems reasonable for trade and does not pose significant risk. Given the current market trends, it is advisable for traders to continue trading rice at the current prices.
