Light Rainfall and Thunderstorm expected in Northern Region

Conditions are favourable for further advancement of Monsoon into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, Goa, remaining parts Rayalaseema, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and south Odisha, some more parts of West central and Northwest Bay of Bengal during next 3-4 days. Heavy rainfall over Kerala-Mahe, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana next 2-3 days A fresh Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation lies over East Uttar Pradesh and a trough runs from this cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh to North Interior Karnataka in lower tropospheric levels. Dust storm very likely over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and East Rajasthan on June 5. Scattered thunderstorms are possible in Punjab, Haryana, and the foothills of the Himalayas. Maximum temperature of 40°C or more is expected in the National Capital Region, Rajasth an, southern part of Punjab and Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh. Scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely over Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal during the next seven days.
