A Western Disturbance seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies roughly. A cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Uttar Pradesh. Light rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely over West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan during next 5 days. Maximum temperatures are likely to be above 45°C in some places of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, above 40°C in some places of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Gujarat. Severe heats surpassing 45°C will emerge across the northern plains in the middle of this week. NCR will also experience readings of 45°C Tuesday onward. Minimum temperatures will be near or above normal over India during the period. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh during next 5 days. The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, some parts of north Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. A trough over South India will produce heavy to very heavy rain with occasionally extremely heavy falls across South India and West India for several days.
