Indian rice export prices have declined this week due to subdued demand and expectations of higher production in the new season, with expanded cultivation areas. The price for India's 5% broken parboiled rice was quoted between $536 and $540 per metric ton, down from $539 to $545 the previous week. This decrease in prices has reduced India's price advantage over Thailand and Vietnam, leading to lower export volumes. Vietnam Rice Prices and Export Activity Vietnam's 5% broken rice was offered at $570 per ton, up from $565 a week ago. Despite lower domestic supplies, Vietnam has increased its rice deliveries to Indonesia and Africa. In July, Vietnam's rice exports rose by 46.3% from the previous month, reaching 751,093 metric tons. Total shipments for the first seven months of the year have reached 5.3 million tons, an 8.3% increase from the same period last year. Thailand Rice Prices Thailand's 5% broken rice was quoted at $567 per ton, a slight increase from last week's $565. Market activity has been quiet, with steady supply.
