Heavy Rains Set to Hit Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka.
The low pressure area lies over north Bangladesh & neighbourhood. It is likely to move westwards across West Bengal during next 48-hours. As a result, heavy rainfall is very likely over West Bengal, Assam, and Meghalaya in the next 1-2 days. Additionally, moderate rainfall is expected in Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during the same period. A monsoon trough at mean sea level currently extends from northern Rajasthan to the centre of a low-pressure area over northern Bangladesh and its surrounding regions. A cyclonic circulation is observed over Jharkhand and nearby areas. This system is likely to bring moderate rainfall to Jharkhand and Odisha. Moderate to heavy rainfall very likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and some part of Gujarat Region. A cyclonic circulation over North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to cause heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation over Southwest Pakistan and its surrounding areas is influencing the weather in nearby regions. Light to moderate rainfall over Jammu-Kashmir, West Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. A cyclonic circulation over Northwest Uttar Pradesh is bringing heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. These conditions are expected to persist through Wednesday evening, followed by a gradual decrease in rain activity.
