Heavy Rains to Batter Meghalaya, Tripura, Karnataka, and Kerala.

A low-pressure area has formed over the east-central Arabian Sea, off the Karnataka-Goa coasts, under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep and its neighboring regions. The associated cyclonic circulation, which is tilting southwestwards with height above mean sea level, is expected to move gradually northwards over the next 24 hours. This may cause heavy rainfall in Costal region of Karnataka , Maharashtra and Goa. Another low-pressure area has been identified over northern Bangladesh and its neighboring areas. This system is likely to move nearly westwards across West Bengal over the next 48 hours, potentially causing heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected over Meghalaya and Tripura.. A Western Disturbance currently manifests as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu & Kashmir. This system may bring cooler temperatures and precipitation to the northern regions of India. A cyclonic circulation persists over the northeast Arabian Sea, adjoining Gujarat. This could lead to scattered rain showers and moderate winds in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Moderate to heavy rainfall very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and North Interior Karnataka during next 2-3 days.
